Changing Your Profile and User Settings

At any time, you can change your IXL profile and user settings. To do so, follow these steps:

If you have not already signed in to your IXL account, sign in now. For more information, see Signing In.
At the top of the window, click Profile & settings.
Make your changes.

Child accounts: You can change your first name, icon, and secret word. For more information, see Family Profiles and Settings.
Student accounts: You can change your name, password, e-mail address, and time zone. For more information, see Student Profiles and Settings.
Parent accounts: You can change your membership information, including your name, password, e-mail address, state or province, and country. You can change your parent profile, including your screen name, icon, and secret word. You can change child profile information, including name, icon, and secret word. You can change practice settings, including time zone, e-mail reports option, the way IXL displays some screens, and whether IXL displays grade level titles. Teacher accounts: You can change your name, password, e-mail address, school, state or province, country, time zone, school year start date, and e-mail reports option. You can also change the way IXL displays some screens and whether IXL displays grade level titles. For more information, see Teacher Profiles and Settings.

Click Submit.

Note: IXL uses the state information from parent and teacher profiles to align skills to your state's standards. For more information, see State Standards.
