Is there a way to hide the grade levels?

Absolutely! This feature is especially useful if you have students working above or below grade level. If you’d rather they focus on their individual skill levels instead of their current grade, you can hide the grade levels.

When the grade levels are hidden, students will see Level A, Level B, etc. instead of pre-K, kindergarten, etc. In order to make sure students don’t accidentally see the grade labels, instruct them to sign in at www.ixl.com/signin. You may find it helpful to bookmark this link for your students.

Teachers, to hide grade levels:

  1. Sign in to your teacher account.
  2. Open your account menu, and select Profile & settings
  3. Under Settings, click on the settings button for Hide grade levels.
  4. Check the boxes to hide grade levels for all students on your roster, specific classes, or individual students.
  5. Click Submit.

A check mark indicates that all of the students in that group have the grade level hidden. A shaded box indicates that the grade level is hidden for some of the students in that group.
