Teachers have to squeeze a lot of learning into one school year, and IXL gives them extra time. Independent research conducted in Oregon found that use of IXL produced academic gains on a statewide assessment equivalent to 6.2 weeks of additional instruction time over the course of a school year.

Positive Outcomes on Standardized Tests
In an independent study of a Title I school in California, a group of low-performing 4th graders saw significant gains on state assessments when placed in a before-school math lab where IXL Math was the only intervention product used. During the two-year study, researchers found that students who worked in the lab each school day showed an overall 23-point increase on the California Standardized Test.

A High School Turnaround
After being ranked in the bottom 5 percent of public schools in the state, a Kentucky school implemented a comprehensive turnaround plan. Educators used IXL Math as the only math product for its redesigned RTI program, resulting in a dramatic improvement: after just two years, the school climbed to the 97th percentile and is now designated a "School of Distinction" by the state.

The more students practice on IXL, the higher they score on standardized tests. A study of thousands of California public schools indicated that if every student at a school mastered just 1 additional IXL skill per week, the school would see a nearly 10-point increase in its percent proficiency on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP).

Who is eligible to attend an IXL Live event?
We welcome all educators who would like to learn more about IXL! We'll take a deep dive into IXL and explore practical ways you can solve challenges in your unique classroom. Whether you're just starting to explore or you've been using IXL for years, everyone will walk away with new insights and actionable takeaways.
I've attended in the past. Is there anything new for me?
Yes! This year we're bringing you a brand-new format of our workshop full of fresh ideas you can take back to your classroom. You don't want to miss out on innovative strategies for your favorite IXL tools, new features and hidden gems, and practical methods for responsive instruction.
Do I need to have an IXL account or license to participate?
No, you do not need to have an IXL account to attend! IXL is used by 96 of the top 100 US school districts, and if you're curious about why so many schools trust IXL, we encourage you to join us. IXL Live is a great way to understand everything IXL offers, learn the secrets of why it's effective, and see how it can be a partner in helping your schools succeed.
What subjects will IXL Live cover?
IXL Live focuses on strategies for using our math and English language arts curriculum with our responsive instruction tools, as well as the IXL Diagnostics, IXL's personalized guidance, and IXL Analytics. Please note that science and social studies content is briefly highlighted, but not explored in depth.
When do I need to register by?
Registration will be open until 3 days prior to the event, as long as spots remain available. We offer a limited number of tickets to ensure personalized attention, so IXL Live workshops do fill up quickly! Please register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot.
The event I want to attend is sold out—what can I do?
You can add yourself to the waitlist via the Eventbrite page for the event by clicking "Register" and then "Join Waitlist." You'll be notified if spots open up! We may also add new events near you, so please sign up to be notified about future workshops.
Can I pay with a purchase order?
Yes, we do accept purchase orders! Please email your PO to ixllive@ixl.com, along with the full name and email address for each attendee, and we can get you registered. Please note that sending a PO does NOT guarantee your spot. Your spot is not guaranteed until your PO is processed and you receive a confirmation email.
What do I need to participate?
Every attendee must bring a laptop to the event. (A tablet device will not be sufficient for this event.) The entire workshop is hands-on, so it's important that every attendee has their own computer. We also want to make sure that you'll be comfortable using IXL on the laptop you're most familiar with! Wireless internet will be provided.
Something came up, and I can no longer attend. Can I transfer my registration?
Yes, we can transfer your registration to a colleague. Please contact us at ixllive@ixl.com as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours before the event begins. In your email, please indicate your full name, the event date and location you are registered for, and your colleague's full name, school, position, and email address.
